E.C. meters

The measurement of conductivity is often overlooked in aquariums, despite its undoubted utility. For lovers of DIY here are two articles that explain how to achieve a conductivity meter.
The first is at it.hobby.acquari. The circuit , though very simple to implement, has the disadvantage of requiring a PC for the measure.


The other circuit is on octiva net: it's a school project and is relatively simple and very well explained ...

Aquamusing

Aquamusing is an U.S.A. blog that, near other things, contains pictures and informations on aquating plants in their natural enviroment.


A big problem I found with this site is that tag are not very useful to find things so You can often find yourself browsing trough pages one by one.

Oliver Knott

Oliver Knott is a world wide famous aquarium designer/ acquascaper that for years maintained a photographic archive of his aquascapes:


A site that surely can be an excellent source of inspiration for any aquascaper.

Last year, thanks to his experience, has launched a website in English, French and German, for its business through which proposes a range of soils, plants for aquariums, he selected.

Italian Live-food

Every now and then our aquariums guest must eat ... and, without detracting the excellent feed that are in the market, nothing is better than a little 'of live food.
Italian speaking people can find at Italian Live-food instructions on how to raise/find this kind of live-food and how to fed their fishes ...

HPA

HPA or High Place of Acqua is simply another japanese aquarium blog...



It contains a series of photos, to say, at least relaxing of blogger's aquarium and comments on various aquarium accessories available on the Japanese market.
Simple in the layout but have to be seen.

GAEM

GAEM web site is one of first italian sites that I met on the web when I started looking for news on aquariums.



I think everibody in Italy knows it but You must have in in your bookmarks.
It contains articles that I consider fundamental. Some have a some years of life but are like if they were written yesterday.

Overall I would like to highlight "Come far crescere bene le piante d'acquario" ("How to grow good plants aquarium") by Dr. Walter Peris and "Le piante e la luce" ("Plants and the light") by Maurizio Vendramini ...
